Bryce McNaul was raised in Eden Prairie, Minnesota and played football for Eden Prairie High School. During his junior year at Eden Prairie Bryce McNaul made 143 tackles, 26 touchdowns for loss, 7 sacks and 3 interceptions. Bryce McNaul also made 65 solo tackles, 20 tackles for loss and 8 sacks during his senior year. Bryce McNaul received many honors including All-Region, 28th-best inside linebacker nationally by ESPN, first-team all-state, named MVP of the 2006 Prep Bowl, WCCO Radio Player of the Game and was invited to play in the 2006-2007 Minnesota Senior Bowl and 2006 U.S. Army All-American All-Combine Team.

In 2007, Bryce McNaul joined the Northwestern Wildcats football team. The 6’4” 230 lbs linebacker was named Northwestern Wildcats defensive practice player of the week against Indiana. Bryce McNaul missed the first seven games during the Northwestern Wildcats 2008 football season because of an injury. Bryce McNaul made his first Northwestern Wildcats tackle at Ryan Field against Ohio State. Bryce McNaul is expected to be a backup linebacker for the Northwestern Wildcats 2009 football season.
