Jack DiNardo was raised in Hinsdale, Illinois and played football for Hinsdale Central High School. During his senior year at Hinsdale Central, Jack DiNardo made 88 tackles, 12 sacks and 23 tackles for loss. Jack DiNardo received many honors including Rivals.com All-Region, ranked 38th-best defensive end nationally by ESPN, two-time Daily Herald All-Area and All-West Suburban Conference selection, West Suburban Conference Defensive Player of the Year, two-time Prep Football Report All-Area team and was selected to play in 2007 Illinois Shrine All-Star game.

In 2007, Jack DiNardo joined the Northwestern Wildcats football team. The 6’4” 285 lbs defensive tackle did not play in any games during his first Northwestern Wildcats football season. In 2008, Jack DiNardo played in eight Northwestern Wildcats football games. Jack DiNardo was a reserve tackle and made his first Northwestern Wildcats tackle against Purdue. Jack DiNardo is one of Northwestern Wildcats most improved players after the Northwestern Wildcats spring practice for the 2009 season.
